Welcome to the Novo Nordisk equal opportunities toolbox.           

The toolbox aims to raise awareness of equal opportunities (EO) issues in Novo Nordisk and support the implementation of EO action plans, which is a target for all business units in 2003.

The contents consist of five major categories of information:

  • Definition of EO at Novo Nordisk and key EO topics, as well as ways in which it should be ensured that discrimination does not take place throughout the 'life cycle' of an employee
  • Why EO is important to Novo Nordisk
  • Methods for business unit managers and their teams to work with EO
  • Key information about EO topics with links to examples from other companies
  • Suggestions for strategic steps to address issues within EO.

After studying the toolbox, managers should be familiar with the Novo Nordisk EO vision and principles; what are the most prevalent issues in his/her country; what can be done; how a strategy can be composed; and whom he/she can talk to if guidance is needed.
